Redwood
Just as the majestic redwoods of the North Coast are known far and wide for their beauty and longevity, redwood lumber enjoys a well-deserved reputation for its beauty and durability. Redwood does not tend to warp as much as other softwoods exposed to weather and elements, making it an excellent outdoor building solution. Heart redwood is also highly resistant to decay and insects. For indoor wood projects, redwood accepts many different finishes and is a perfect choice for cabinets and trim.
Much of the redwood we carry is FSC certified redwood from the Arcata Community Forest, a sustainably managed, city owned forest in our hometown. We mill the wood on site into standard and custom dimensions and grades. We also carry an ever-changing selection of redwood burls and curly redwood.
