Many people dream of building their own boat. At Almquist Lumber, we carry a wide range of boat woods and marine plywood to make that dream a reality. Shown above are some of our customers' finished (and seaworthy!) boatbuilding projects, currently on display in front of our store.
White oak is a preferred choice for boat builders due to its toughness and resistance to moisture penetration. Our air-dried Douglas Fir and Port Orford Cedar are sturdy and affordable options for boat building. We also carry Ipe, African Mahogany, Purpleheart, and Teak.
